The First Better Call Saul Sneak Peek Is a Huge Treat for Breaking Bad Fans
When Saul met Mike!
Listen, we knew Better Call Saul, the highly anticipated Breaking Bad spinoff/prequel, wasn't going to be a very big mistake as soon as Jonathan Banks signed on as a series regular, reprising his role as Mike Ehrmantraut, our favorite grandpa with punches made of gold.
And the very first sneak peek at Better Call Saul's series premiere, airing on Feb. 8, highlights Saul's (Bob Odenkirk) first run-in with the eventual hitman and proves just how right we were. We're not scientists or anything, but basically, Jonathan Banks is magic, people.
The clip, which first aired on AMC during The Walking Dead's midseason finale, finds Saul learning just what happens when you try to mess with Mike, even if he's just working as a parking attendant.
But Mike probably won't be meeting Saul; he'll be meeting Jimmy McGill!
After announcing the series' two-night premiere, AMC president Charlie Collier said, "We're going to introduce Jimmy McGill to the world. Known to Breaking Bad fans as Saul Goodman, viewers will soon discover Saul wasn't always Albuquerque's top criminal (criminal) lawyer. Huge thanks to Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, Bob Odenkirk, our partners at Sony, and the entire team. We're thrilled to be cooking together again."
Other series regulars include Michael McKean as Saul's brother Chuck McGill, Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin and Michael Mando as Nacho Varga.
