Kim Kardashian Used to Pray for Smaller Boobs, Didn't "Go Crazy" When Her Nude Photos Leaked
It takes some serious body confidence to bare your booty on a magazine cover—just askKim Kardashian!
To be fair, though, Kanye West's wife hasn't always had high self-esteem when it comes to showcasing her famous figure. In fact, the 34-year-old star tells Elle U.K.'s January issue that as a teenager, she "was unhappy with my body"—so much so, that every night, she cried and "prayed my boobs would stop growing."
She got some guidance from an unlikely source: Her dad, the late Robert Kardashian Sr., who "wrote me a letter" at age 13. "He told me I had a body not many girls have," she recalls, "[and] that later it would lead to attention from men, but that the most important thing was that I was a wonderful girl and I had to understand my self worth."
And over time, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star learned to embrace her shape. "I am a confident woman, but I didn't just arrive confident," she admits. "It has built over the years and that is a big part of who I am now."
That confidence is part of why Kim didn't "let it shake me up" when she was among the celebs whose nude photos were hacked earlier this year. "I felt violated because these are private pictures," she tells Elle. U.K. "But, I'm also realistic, I'm on covers of magazines practically naked, so I can't go crazy about it."
Another thing Kim can't go crazy about? Kid sister Kendall Jenner's huge success in the fashion world! In fact, she predicts the 18-year-old model "will be a huge star," adding proudly, "I definitely think she will be bigger than I have ever been."
Of course, not all of Kim's joy comes from her career success. She loves being mom to 17-month-old North West. "I want a boy and another girl; I want it to start happening right away," she tells Elle U.K. "I loved being part of a huge family—and I want that for North. We'd do IVF if nothing happens, but we both want to keep trying naturally."
