As Selena Gomez tries to move on from her past relationship with Justin Bieber, the "Come and Get It" singer appears to be enjoying a new bond with another talented musician.

In a new Instagram post Sunday night, Gomez shared a photo of herself and Zedd with a thoughtful message. "Missing la and this punk, just a little tonight," she captioned. "Shooting starts soon!! Eeeeekkkk –Fundamentals of Caregiving."

Shortly thereafter, Zedd shared a picture while facetiming with the singer. "'Oh hi derrling…' – The Room #TheRoom #theRoom #THEroom #theROOM."

While we don't completely understand the pair's hashtags, here's what we are sure of.

Multiple sources tell E! News that the twosome is working on new music together, which easily explains recent photos of the two working in a music studio.

Zedd is a talented producer and DJ who helped create huge hits including Ariana Grande's "Break Free" and Bieber's "Beauty and a Beat."

But talent aside, we still can't help but acknowledge the couple's behavior at a recent Golden Globes after-party.

 An eyewitness spotted the twosome holding hands and engaging in "innocent PDA."
